DEOGELIO M. AGCO

Deogelio Muzares Agco in 'The Mango', 1976The Agco Family Jogie was born and raised in Malagasang 2nd in Imus, Cavite.  He is married to the former Maria Edna Hernando of Panungyan, Mendez, Cavite.  The circumstance of their first meeting occured at a very unusual place but nevertheless became a very romantic memory.   He met his future wife at a cemetery on All Saints' Day of 1985 and got married on New Year's Day of 1986,  a truly whirlwind romance!   They had two daughters, Anne Jewel (now 14) and Agatha Mae Josephine (11), when they left the Philippines for British Columbia, Canada in September of 1990.  A son, Allen Joseph (8), was born in Canada.  While busy raising a family, Jogie still finds time to practice the ancient Chinese exercise of Tai-chi, play basketball or table tennis, fix things around the house and go see an occassional movie in his spare time.   During high school, he was known for being really nice and friendly, one of the "cool" guys to be around with.  Among his good friends then were Samuel Costa and Ignacio Cardenas.  He has fond memories of Ms. Aurora Gervacio and her Trigonometry class during his senior year.  Like most of his peers, he considers Graduation Day one of the highlights of his high school days.  He went on to attend the Mapua Institute of Technology where he got his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He and his family reside in Richmond, British Columbia, near Vancouver.  He is hoping that a lot of II Class 1976 alumni, especially those who are no longer living in Cavite, will take the time to participate in the Silver Jubilee celebration in January, 2001.   (07/20/00)
