button_new.gif (1154 bytes)May 19, 2003: Solomon Sasis, a classmate and a merchant seaman from Bayan Luma, stopped by in Los Angeles when his ship, an oil tanker, docked in Long Beach Harbor after sailing from Argentina.  'Salih', as most of his friends and acquaintances call him, is an engine officer on the ship.  He is the 2nd Engineer, next in line to the ship's Chief Engineer.  Some of you will remember him as a 'musikero' with one of Imus' brass bands, a trumpet player as I recall.  I picked him up from the pier, stopped by at Dr. Caloy Ilem's dental clinic and Omel Sarreal's house near downtown LA, but both were not around at the time.  I drove him around the city, showed him the usual tourist attractions downtown, and went to dinner at Chinatown, before we drove back to his ship.  It was a short visit for him that lasted less than 24 hours on dry land.    ( 06/30/04)

After the fire!FIRE!!!    A fire of unknown origin burned down the main building of our dear alma mater in the morning hours of Saturday, November 25, 2000.  An adjacent building constructed after 1976 was also razed by the fire.  Only the annex building used by the college department and the gym, which enclosed the old basketball court, were spared.   Arson is not involved.  A landmark along Imus Boulevard (which used to be Nueno Avenue during our stay), the building evokes memories of one's high school days.   Like the mythical phoenix bird, this institution will surely rise from the ashes and serve the youth of Imus and surrounding towns once again.   ( 12/18/00)

This is the t-shirt worn by our Class 1976 classmates at the 2000 Alumni Homecoming held January 22, 2000.  That is your classmate/web creator modeling the shirt. Thanks a lot, Belet.  The guy who took the picture on a digital camera insisted that the subject is the t-shirt, not the one wearing it, the reason why the head, hands and legs were not shown!.  If you want to see the design detail on the t-shirt, move your mouse over his chest, for an even bigger detail, click on it.   ( 03/07/00)
